Since the passing of Senate Bill 11 in 2016, the interest in bourbon tourism has exploded.
In order to capitalize on this new and growing interest in bourbon, established distilleries are remodeling and expanding their footprints around the state to offer more tourists experiences while they are on property and new distilleries are popping up overnight. This industry is evolving and The Kentucky Hug is a part of this evolution.

Like any growing industry, as the demand from consumers increases so do the needs for new tools and technologies to meet those demands. The Kentucky Hug will provide the first bourbon tourism marketplace ever where consumers will be able to see what bourbon distillery experiences are available statewide. By centralizing and assisting booking for consumers, we lower the barrier to entry – introducing a new customer base of loyal brand ambassadors. But our system doesn’t only address the needs of the consumer.

The Kentucky Hug ticketing system was built in collaboration with distilleries to specifically meet the needs of distilleries. From reducing call volume and providing distilleries with more accurate and complete data to providing visibility into which experiences have the highest demand, distilleries will have greater control and flexibility when it comes to their tourism operations.
